So let’s recap all the legal issues in play right now. There are many.
1. The big hurdle is that @arkcapes probably did not get 54k signatures. There’s probably some wrangling there still to be done, so who knows how that will shake out. But…
🧵1/7 2. The law that states the AG has to approve the ballot title for a repeal is badly flawed. First, it had an improper emergency clause. So even if it is constitutional, it didn’t take effect until August 1. @AGTimGriffin slow walking this should never have happened. 2/7

Arkansas elected a twice bankrupt man to be state treasurer. Jonesboro defunded their library. A twice censured state senator who got his buddy to help steal per diem money was unopposed.
Democracy means the people get to speak. Sometimes people say really stupid stuff. #arpx
1/6 And also… Steve Landers did not buy City Hall even with Huckabee money and racist dog whistles. None of the power grab/ anti democracy amendments passed. Justice Wynne looks like he will hold on against a partisan hack for State Supreme Court.

From PreK-2nd grade, my son was classmates with a boy who has 2 moms. They are some of our dearest friends. We love this family.
One day, unfortunately, another child in the class said unkind things about having 2 moms.
Fortunately, teacher stepped in. 1/7 She explained that: 1. not all families look the same and 2. as long as everyone in the family is loved and cared for, IT'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS what other families look like.
She then directed students back to their work.
This is what good teachers do. They teach kids. 2/7
