The Government of India has released approximately Rs. 3,000 crores in the last 8 years for disaster and flood relief in Telangana. Out of this more than Rs.1,500 crores has been released since 2018 for Disaster Relief in Telangana. Disaster Relief is primarily driven through the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) to which Govt of India Contribution is 75%

Met Hon’ble Minister for Home Affairs and Co-operation Shri @AmitShah ji and apprised him of the Godavari floods in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji directed the Home Ministry to extend all necessary support at the earliest. Already 13 units from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed to carry out rescue and relief operations.
