So late 2019, my university colleagues (electrival/electronics engineering dept) developed a give back project for my department. The GBP decided to build and furnish an AI and Robotics lab for the school. Millions of naira was raised and we built an AI and Robotics laboratory 2/ in the campus. Precisely on the 25th of January, 2021, which lncidentally is my birthday we commissioned the 1st phase of this project to the glory of God. So, a friend of mine, who is alumni of Lautech, just like me came to Nigeria from Germany to help facilitate a world class GIS laboratory in collaboration with a German agency, according to him, the lecturers, the HOD and even the Dean tossed him here and there until he left /2 out of annoyance and frustration.
You might be wondering why they frustrated him.
1. They don't like not taking he glory
2. They feel they won't be in control
3. They are opposed to change that won't affect their pockets
4. They see the ex student as a threat to them

I would like to do a thread and analyze the Nigerian economic experience in the last 40 years, because I believe that the age of most atikulators is within this bracket. A thread... Dr. Victor Olaiya, in his popular song, released in 1983, titled "ilu le" literarily translated as "the nation is hard" perfectly painted a picture of a country experiencing economic hardship of some sort. A country experiencing prosperity, would not have been said to be hard.
