Fact—So-called "Don't Say Gay or Trans" bills aren't the first of their kind in the country: A handful of states have had similar laws on the books for decades. 19thnews.org/2022/04/dont-s… For example, Florida’s #DontSayGay bill is part of a long legacy of anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and legislation in the state. The “Save Our Children” campaign led by Anita Bryant in the 1970s helped spawn Florida's #LGBTQ culture war.
