I have seen this picture posted at least five times on this God forsaken app in the past hour.

It is absolute BS.

Stop using it as a scare tactic. Stop using it to undermine our electoral process.

Let me explain how I know it’s wrong. 🧵
#txlege Image If you don’t know, I maintain a list of all registered voters in Texas.

I hate touting my credentials but you’re forcing me to. I’m an expert on voter data / registration rolls in Texas. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who knows more than I do about the registration rolls.

The #txlege session begins tomorrow and this will be my 13th legislative session since getting involved in Texas politics.

I'd like to provide some advice to the staffers based on my experiences and based on what an opposition research will look for during campaign season.
(1/x) Members will miss votes for a variety of reasons. Try to limit it as much as possible. If a vote is missed, make sure they register how they would have voted. This applies to all votes, regardless of whether it was a controversial bill or if it passed 146-0. #txlege

I’d like to talk about voting by mail in Texas (a thread). As someone who crunches election numbers and maintains a file of all voters in the state, I have some issues with sending everyone a ballot like some other states do (or are suggesting). (1/x) #txlege While the registration rolls are pretty accurate, there are still issues with multiple records and records with bad information.

Example #1: Until last year, I had a friend who was registered in both Travis and Dallas Counties. Would he have receive two ballots? (2/x)
