The reason social media censorship is so frustrating stems from the fact that these networks have become part of the fabric of society and discourse and of outreach, generally. You can't just "build your own" and expect the same impact as you'd get from the pre-existing networks. They restrict speech and direct your attention to what they think you should think is important, things like Cardi B and #BlackLivesMatter and "climate change" and how toddlers can give be sexual, too. It's odd that @gatewaypundit gets censored and @VICE doesn't.
