Higher Wisdom
Genesis 3:7,21 KJV
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; AND THEY SEWED FIG LEAVES TOGETHER, AND MADE THEMSELVES APRONS.
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did THE LORD GOD MAKE COATS OF SKINS, AND CLOTHED THEM.
There are several lessons to learn from this short passage. Adam and Eve sinned, and their first instinct was to cover up. They had discovered their nakedness, and they needed to cover up.
Unfortunately, their best solution was to use fig leaves to attempt to cover up their

We learn from the laws of physics that speed, distance and time are inextricably linked. By measuring how fast the distance was covered, we can know the speed.
A short thread about aliens.
We learn in physics that the fastest object that humans can measure is light. Light travels 186,000 miles per second. For context, the fastest car travels 300 miles per hour.
The term "light year" refers to the distance light would travel in a year, 5.88 trillion miles.

Good evening folks.
Did you know the BIble mentions the unicorn 9 times? Skeptics have used this over and over again to attack the Bible.
Basically, if the Bible speaks of a mythical creature factually, then how can the Bible be trusted?
Let's dig in. A thread.
Wikipedia defines a unicorn as below.
The fact is almost everyone thinks of a horse with a horn poking out of its head when the word "unicorn" pops up.
Is the Bible suggesting that unicorns are real? Let's see the verses that talk about the unicorn.

Do you know how most whales die? They drown.
Yes, many die from poaching, swallowing plastic, being caught in nets, etc. but most whales die from drowning.
Think about it. They die in the same environment they spend all their lives in. Why is that? Because whales are
mammals. Though they live in water, they are not of the water. Whales have to come to the surface regularly to get air that they can breathe while under water. If their air runs out before they can come back up to the surface, they drown.
Dear believer, you are that whale. You

When I was transferred to Sales in 2012, I encountered a problem of leakages. Bcos the company sold drinks in tetra packs, leakages were a huge problem. The company would replace all leakages for the distributors based on how many the account managers would report.
I took over from a colleague who was managing 2 Distributors. Distributor A had average of N1.2m leakages per month (ave mthly turnover was 6m in 2011). Distributor B had about N3.6m leakages.
Add to that the delay in reimbursement from the Company and my work was cut out for me

Eph. 5:19 KJV
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Spiritual songs = Christian doctrine with a tune.
All songs we sing as believers should be doctrinally sound, consistent with Bible truths.
There's no point being emotional when singing when the song doesn't make meaning to your spirit. Guard your heart with all diligence, the Bible says.
A few examples that come to mind right this minute...
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord
Come and quench this thirsting of my

Let's talk about Forgiveness.
1 Corinthians 14:20 KJV
20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
Forgiveness is one issue where we mature by being childlike. And there's a big diff btw "childlike" & "childish."
Unfortunately, our adulting makes it difficult to know and understand forgiveness the way a child does. Our mind is not blank, nor can it be. Our memory may be our biggest enemy when it comes to forgiveness; it keeps a mental snapshot of every incident, and some go into our long

About spiritual warfare.
Because of the highly fetish natural historic culture of Africa, spiritual warfare is largely misunderstood. Lack of education was a hindrance to Christians being able to divorce mental ideas from Biblical truth.
A red cloth and white feather produces
more trepidation and wonder than a preacher on the street. An old woman who frowns at you is seen as more dangerous than the man of God.
Recently, someone told me someone at his workplace told him he would deal with him at night. He was worried about what fetish power the guy

Ye Are Gods? What does the Bible really mean?
In Acts 23, Paul was standing before the Council and he made a bold claim. He said, "I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day."
Essentially, he was saying that the charges against him were false. The high priest
Ananias was so offended that he commanded them that stood by Paul to strike him on the mouth. Paul responded by cursing the priest.
Those who had struck him then asked him how dare he speak thus to the high priest. Paul explained that he didn't know that was the

I discovered something really interesting this morning. I bet you've heard the statement "He MAKES everything beautiful in his time." Not many people realise that this is not what the Bible says.
Eccl 3:11 KJV
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time...
Catch that?

See again.
Eccl 3:11 KJV
11 He HATH MADE every thing beautiful in his time...
vs 1 of this chapter says every thing has an appointed time for its manifestation (paraphrase). Juxtapose it with vs 11 and we find that God has already determined everything that will be, and set

About Predestination and Freewill. It's a long #thread y'all.
Is freewill is really a thing? After all, if God supposedly has everything planned out, and has predetermined every outcome, are my choices really mine?
Please RT this thread. It will bless you and others. Thank you.
Let's start from 1 Jn 3:20
1 John 3:20 KJV
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
See also Ps 147:5, Heb 4:13, Acts 1:24.
So, God knows all things. Let's take a brief look at 5 things God knows.
1. He knows everything that...

Scientific proof that God exists.
Point 1: Einstein's theory of general relativity tells us that the universe is not eternal; it has/had a beginning.
Point 2: The law of causality: everything that came to be needs a cause.
Einstein knew that since the universe has a age...
that is, it had a beginning, then it must have a cause.
Point 3: The big bang theory tells us that space, time and matter happened at the exact same instant. That is, there was no space, no time, and no matter prior to the big bang.
Basically, the universe emerged out of...

A thread on Prayer, for believers. It will be a long thread. Please RT if this blesses you. Let's go.
What is prayer? A common cliche is that prayer is "talking WITH God." The idea is that it's not a one-way conversation, and that when praying, we should wait to hear what God...
has to say. This is true only in a general sense. Strictly speaking, prayer is "talking TO God." In the Bible, everyone who's praying is always speaking, never listening.
In fact, the Bible tells us that prayer is a way to present our requests to God (Phil. 4:6). So, prayer...
