One thing that fascinates me about @EvanMcMullin is he was so eager knee-jerk oppose anything Trump did that he ended up taking a lot of stupid positions.

But opposing killing Soleimani as he was planning to kill Americans was a required position for MSNBC talking heads. #utpol Mike Lee worked hard for a strong conservative Supreme Court majority.

@EvanMcMullin joined conspiracy theorists like Michael Avenatti to smear them.

Go back 6 years - you won’t find a conspiracy theory McMuffin didn’t jump on so he could get booked on TV.

5 reasons student loan bailout is bad:

1⃣Inflation
2⃣Regressive - taxing the poor to buy high-income earners grad degrees
3⃣Dark Brandon needs pandemic relief for grad degree holders?
4⃣Unfair to people chose cheaper options/military service to pay
5⃣ Should be done by Congress Will be hilarious that just a week after Democrats (and their media allies) touted the "deficit reduction" in the "Inflation Reduction Act" they're about to cancel it all out to finance rich kids grad degrees in underwater basket weaving.

Pretty incredible to write this entire piece without the context that the right's dark money efforts are a tiny fraction of the scale of the left.

Left wing dark money is so influential that the top expert CNN quoted in this piece .. is a left-wing dark money operative. This section is phenomenal.

Robert Maguire says "we've never seen a group of this magnitude before."

Robert Maguire works for CREW - funded by Soros's Open Society Foundation - which has assets estimated at $3.7 BILLION.

Did CNN not Google Maguire or his org?

There's about 20 different ways the Biden administration made this happen. Let's do this.

1) Cancelling Keystone.

Obama admin estimated Keystone would create 43K jobs and generate $4.3B in economic activity. It moved 830K barres of crude a day in the safest way possible. Now its moved by train/truck, slower and more expensive.

What a bizarre week on the topic of education.

The left is totally baffled by parent engagement on what’s happening in the classroom, and can’t decide whether to tell them they’re not wanted or.. sick the authorities on them.

A quick thread 🧵 Terry said the quiet part out loud —

Parents should pay taxes and hand over their kids, but are not allowed to ask questions about what they’re being taught.

With his eviction moratorium Biden and the left have tried to portray “landlords” as greedy tycoons — they’re not.

Here’s a quick thread on some of the small landlords (disproportionately people of color) who have been hurt by this bad policy.

washingtonpost.com/business/2021/… In New Orleans: “The vast majority of landlords in New Orleans and Baton Rouge are Mom and Pops, they just can’t financially sustain it anymore because they have the taxes, they have the insurance, they have the water bill..”

Absolutely egregious coverage from networks tonight — especially CBS and ABC.

Brazenly parroting Democrat talking points about “voting rights,” citing far-left groups data on “voting restrictions” without even noting it came from far-left groups.

newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicho… This is actual Democrat propaganda from the @CBSNews broadcast.

✅ it’s NOT a Federal voting rights law
✅ the “400 bills” comes from a far-left think tank that counts “security guards at polling places” as “restricting voting”
✅ No mention of why R’s unanimously voted no. Image

Here we go again.

Before you write a story about the Florida law’s “sweeping restrictions” or “reducing voter access” please take a look at the specifics of the bill.

Democrats want to make basic safeguards that have existed for decades toxic. Don’t help them gaslight. All of these stories argue that the bill “restricts” mail-in voting.

That’s crap.

✅ It requires voters to request a mail ballot (not hard)

✅ It requires voters use an ID to request ballots (overwhelmingly popular in every poll you’ll ever see)

🚨 This is an absolute bombshell 🚨

We all knew teachers unions were influencing CDC guidance on school openings, now we know CDC literally gave teachers unions approval authority over school reporting guidance.

Huge from @LevineJonathan

nypost.com/2021/05/01/tea… Teachers union leaders thanking the HEAD OF THE CDC for her “genuine desire to earn our confidence.”

Hope it was worth it @CDCDirector because it came at the expense of the confidence of EVERYONE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY.

The op-ed Dale and others cite defending Abrams was heavily edited from its original version AFTER the MLB decided to move the All Star game.

Paragraph on the left is before, paragraph on the right is AFTER. Clear attempt to cover tracks.

Archived here web.archive.org/web/2021033121… ImageImage She removed "I can't argue with an individuals choice to opt out" (referring to boycotts -- see previous tweet)

And followed with major changes to her paragraph about the pain boycotts cause, adding in the updated version "Boycotts invariably also cost jobs."

Plenty of reasons to oppose Gupta --

✅ Called for defunding the police before the Senate -- then lied about it
✅ Called for legalizing all drugs, then lied about it
✅ Has tried to hide deep financial ties to company tied to drug cartel heroin production
✅ Ethics problems What ethics problems, you ask?

As @JerryDunleavy reported, Biden has an ethics pledge that appointees don't work on issues they lobbied on recently.

Gupta has lobbied on EVERY issue she'll be working on for dark money groups in just the last year.

Colorado requires voter ID to vote in person — either a driver’s license, an IRS issued ID card, a valid passport, or a valid employee card with a photo.

@MLB better be ready to explain why this is more acceptable than Georgia after that absurd political statement. This.

🚨 Dems in disarray alert 🚨

Great breakdown from @npfandos and @miwine about Democrats growing discord about their disastrous election takeover bill.

nytimes.com/2021/03/30/us/… Great nugget — Manchin isn’t the only Democrat with serious concerns about the bill... he’s just the only one willing to say it out loud and risk “incurring the wrath of the legion of liberal advocacy groups.” Image

🚨 Required reading on HR. 1 🚨

Dem election officials are furious with Senate Dems' bill

✅Written with NO consultation with election administrators
✅Administrators were ignored to appease "activist bases"
✅Requires machines.. that don't exist yet

thedailybeast.com/how-this-votin… It mandates a totally nonsecure "telephone based automatic voter registration system" that .. doesn't currently exist, that states would be required to create.

Election officials are "baffled."

Wow. Miles Taylor wasn't even listed on DHS's senior leadership page when NYT published his op-ed because he was just a policy advisor, not even chief of staff.

Here's a snapshot of top leadership at DHS a few weeks after the op-ed was published. (October 2018) Image The NYT answered a bunch of written questions about why they decided to publish the op-ed, and defended the use of "senior administration official."

They used the phrase "upper echelons of an administration." But Taylor wasn't even upper echelons of DHS.

That’s what happens when your candidate sleeps with the wives of wounded veterans and has to be investigated by the military. Cal himself won’t do interviews or answer questions to put the scandal to rest, and local media has accused him of trying to “run out the clock.”

✅ MI Dems doctored a video to lie about John James

✅ Jaime Harrison is trying to trick voters into voting for someone who dropped out .@rachelgirwin is the comms director for Schumer’s Super PAC. Here she is sharing a doctored email suggesting Joni lost the Iowa Farm Bureau endorsement.

Good reporting here from Jake. Democrats haven’t moved an inch from Pelosi’s HEROES Act..

... which was a nonstarter for a dozen moderate *House Democrats* who attacked it as a political exercise with no chance of becoming law.

All relief is being held up for this. Republicans are pushing for funding to safely reopen schools, direct checks for families, PPP loans, and money for testing.

Democrats say none of that can happen without paychecks for illegal immigrants, tax cuts for wealthy NYers, and environmental justice grants.
