No. The #GenderPayGap does not measure the gap between a man and a woman doing the same job. It is the average weekly earnings gap between women and men who work full time -- so while women working full-time are earning on average $1,575.50, men are pulling down $1,837.00. 2/

Reminder. The Royal Commission on aged care reported last year that: "The aged care sector suffers from severe difficulties in recruiting and retaining staff. Workloads are heavy. Pay and conditions are poor, signaling that working in aged care is not a valued occupation..." 1/
It goes on: "Innovation is stymied. Education and training are patchy and there is no defined career path for staff. Leadership is lacking. Major change is necessary to deliver the certainty and working environment that staff need to deliver great quality care.” 2/
