3 major glands involved: parotid, submandibular (SM), sublingual (SL)

💦 Unstimulated state: about 70% of saliva from SM + SL
💦 Stimulated state: 5x ⬆️ production, mostly via parotid

⚡CN 7 innervates SM & SL
⚡CN 9 innervates parotid
