For a while now I've been wondering - why do we keep seeing issues with Apple hardware, which, on the surface at least, appear to be so preventable.

My hypothesis is this: Apple's secrecy paranoia prevents them from doing any real world testing.

#Thread Take the keyboards for example.

In a pristine, sealed, design studio, where there are no contaminates they function perfectly. Each button passes the test of being pressed by a robot a million times and they look and sound great.

In that environment, the keyboard is perfect.
