Back to putting MLS owner's political actions on blast for all the world to see. Remember when the video of Donald Trump saying he grabs women's genitalia surfaced? Well FC Cincinnati owner Carl Linder III gave money to 2 Trump super-PACs right after. (1/6) #AUnitedFront According to this BizJournal article: bizjournals.com/cincinnati/new… as well as the Federal Elections Commission FCC's owner gave to "Keep America Number 1" & "Future45" (2/6) #AUnitedFront

1. Support (financial& time) for a team is a two way street. Sorry @SoundersFC & @TimbersFC your "We're just following orders." routine is a hallmark of fascism. You CHOOSE to uphold a fascist policy which equates being against fascism to white supremacy terror and hate groups 2. If you act like a fascist, use fascist talking points of false equivalence between people defending human rights and dignity to people who advocate killing minorities you too must be consider an enabler of fascism and that goes against your community of supporters.

Good morning good people. Today's thread looks at the bigger picture of MLS using the ban against displays of storied anti-fascism symbol as a way to chip away at something that apparently makes some in power there uncomfortable: banners and signs against racism and fascism If MLS was going to pick a fight over a symbol they made a poor choice. The three arrows in the Iron Front logo attacking the threats of fascism, communism & monarchism are fights most Americans celebrate and honor today. naumburg-geschichte.de/bilder/1932/wa…

In today’s thread we’re looking at two other MLS owners who influenced MLS’s new draconian “Code of Conduct” which resulted in actions against Portland Timbers supporters & the banning of a long
used anti-racism/anti-fascism symbol which had been welcome & even promoted. If the league was so against keeping politics out of its stadiums, then the treatment of two men with an overtly political message being vastly different from the treatment of supporters upholding human rights shows that politics are fine as long as they are the “right” politics.

If this Iron Front ban was simply about MLS wanting to prevent extreme political views (which its not, being against racism & fascism is not an extremist position) then perhaps it needs to examine the man whose name is engraved on the Philip Frederick Anschutz MLS Cup trophy. In Philip Anschutz contributed money to the Full House PAC a group which backed a long list of racist and anti-LGBTIQ+ candidates such as Ronald DeSantis who 4 times attended conferences organized by a white supremacist washingtonpost.com/investigations… nytimes.com/2018/08/29/us/…

If the ban of Iron Front symbol by MLS taught us anything it is that the fight against racism & fascism in MLS starts at the top. As promised we're about to begin our series of tweets today exposing the actions of owners who "Crossed the Line" & influenced the new Code of Conduct Before we get to that we thought it best to provide some context to how we got here. While this list of incidents is by no means comprehensive it shows a pattern of behavior of MLS acting against supporters affirming human rights by displaying anti-discrimination messages.
