Today I attended the march for Linda Nuño. It started with speeches from her and five other Austin organizations who have been actively Participating in protests. The speeches went on from around 730 until 930 or 10 o’clock.

Linda Nino walked up the stairs towards the officers to address us. The officers freaked out and promptly came towards the step stairs to arrest her. Protesters blocked the exit of the barricades pulling her into the middle of the crowd and protecting her from the police. 2/

i cannot imagine being a parent contemplating sending my kid back to school right now. I have worked for a summer camp with small group sizes and constant cleaning and the process has still been messy as hell. The first week we had one teacher go out sick which ended up moving 1/
us from the first floor of the school to the second floor. Then I myself got sick (not with covid) but still had to stay home for up to 10 days which ended up being longer because I refused to go back without being tested. Testing was going pretty slow but still my company 2/

A lot of us who have been out there all month popped up early & the vibe was very Austin. We were not expecting 1 for them not to show up (whooo!) and 2 for the @Austin_Police to become increasingly violent. 2/
