The Yuma Sector is currently Arizona’s busiest Border Patrol sector. 27,343 people were detained last month attempting to enter the US. But only 1,764 of them were subject to Title 42 deportation. Why?

 #azfamily A vast majority of the migrants detained in Yuma are from countries that are not covered by Title 42 (think far away.)
That was 25,579 last month. These people become eligible for asylum consideration. That’s many more than the much larger Tucson Sector.
