When we (for decades) grow our churches & small groups based on demographics & 'affinity groups,' is it really any wonder we can't "forbear one another" through differences on political issues?

Thread: For those new to #SBC, let me encourage you about the @ERLC & @drmoore w/ historic context.
Preface: I worked for both Moore (5 yrs) & @rdland (12 yrs), & I remain fond of both. Baptists should be more aware of their shared & recent history.
• At least 4 of the @SBCExecComm "concerns" (or variations of them) were also aimed at Land, Moore's predecessor. (image) I personally engaged constituents on these or similar disinformation during my employment.
• I recall attempt(s?) to defund ERLC during Land's tenure.

I worked for the Southern Baptist ERLC for 17 years (2001-2018), across 2 administrations Land & Moore). The report released today by the Executive Committee task force perpetuates here-say, myth, and grants anonymous (often untrue) accusations the status of objectivity & fact.
At least 4 of the "concerns" in Section VIII, the EC lists "w/o commentary" were lobbed at the ERLC during Richard Land's tenure. Land was never "reviewed" by EC. Why? B/c they are either untrue OR consistent w/ SBC doctrine & consensus as expressed thru BF&M or resolutions.
• first suits should be charcoal or navy. They’re the most versatile & appropriate in most any setting.
• *DO NOT* wear a black suit during daytime work, it’s overly formal...
... black suits are for evening/social events. Don’t sweat if you don’t have one. Charcoal w/a black tie/white shirt is acceptable. Navy also w/ a dark (not black) tie if necessary.
• Stick with white or light blue shirts. They go w/ all your suits.
• Use ties for variety.
For many years of my early career I edited media (radio) or provided oversight to other editors. I’ve long thought there was a need for an ethical framework for media editors b/c of the technological power we have at our fingertips.
I began thinking this years ago when I witnessed a credible religion journalist interview 2 prominent Southern Baptist brothers on different sides of an issue. The interviews were separate then edited together with narration.

The #flipflop of @JoeBiden on the Hyde Amendment cannot be overstated in terms of ramifications for (presuming) his general election prospects. Politically speaking he put himself in an even worse position than Hillary was in relation to then candidate Trump. Here's why:
Setting aside Trump's reputation on personal morality, as a candidate he argued more forcefully against abortion in that debate against Hillary than maybe any other presidential candidate before him. Hillary didn't moderate at all, even when advised to do so.
