NEED FOR VIGILANCE

I commend APC members, progressives & Buharists for a vigorous response to the unjust appointment of exponents of ‘anywhere belle face’ politics to positions that should be occupied by true believers. Within any movement, there will be true believers, those who are only along for the ride, and enemies hiding in plain sight. WE MUST NOT RELENT in calling out those who take actions that will prevent us from achieving our objective of a new Nigeria. We have no time to lose.

INVICTUS
by William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Atiku/Obi tried to prepare for the corruption question but the truth is there is no justification for these questionable acts they took while in office. Absolutely none. #NgTheCandidates Kadaria asked Peter Obi about his own conflict of interest. He put 2 billion naira of state money in a brewery where his company was a major shareholder. He’s still squirming. Can’t believe she let him off!

The entire police force needs urgent reform and not just SARS. The average police station in Nigeria is like a veritable anteroom to hell.

Ending SARS alone will not end police brutality. SARS should be reformed without delay, but also special units like D Department (Investigation & Intelligence).

These units can be transformed into models for reform of the rest of the police force, followed by recruitment of a new cadre of forensic and ICT specialists.
