Very disturbing news from Adigrat #Tigray - according to the Eastern Zone Social Affairs Office there has been a continuing influx of IDPs on a daily basis from the nearby weredas namely Gulomekeda, Zalambessa, Erob, and Ganta-Afeshum . In addition, it says, there are new arrivals from the central and North Western zones of #Tigray. Some of the IDPs are former returnees to their places of origin and forced to displace again due to the newly erupted armed conflict.

#Tigray negotiators Getachew and Tsadkan gave a media interview in Tigrinya on the negotiations tonight. They give the following highlights:
1. The key motive for signing the Cessation of Hostilities agreement was to stop the worsening of the humanitarian crisis in Tigray. 2. While it was necessary to sign the agreement, TDF can and will not disarm unless the security of the people of #Tigray is reliably guaranteed.
