the most epic thing about this?

the washer has been buying vintage 1993 mostly sealed cards (that's the only thing valuable enough to spend $25m on)

this potentially taints the majority of the remaining supply of these cards

imagine these are injuncted from trade by gov... an injunction or blacklisting of these items could ROCKET the value of the remaining unencumbered items

they would be effectively removed from marketplace participation and only re-released at the speed of government 🐌🐌🐌

listened to folks from @Ledger break down the changes that allow for social key recovery on Spaces

here is smol write-up with the new Ledger Social Recovery

you opt in and pay $10/month (from Spaces, didn't see in documentation)

up to $50k of your value is secured (from Spaces, didn't see in documentation)

it was likened to insurance: if you need to secure more than $50k, not for you 🤔

I've tested @ORDSWAP with:
address generation ✅
BTC receive ✅
ordinals inscription receive ✅
ordinals inscription send ✅

it appears the site is safe to use as a litewallet to send and receive ordinals inscriptions without your own full #Bitcoin node. caveats and risks: Image key security is most important piece of this.

ordswap uses this randomvalue generating lib to create a public/private taproot-compatible bitcoin address key pair for each user. developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web… Image

looks like @ORDSWAP has a working (hot, custodial) web UI #Bitcoin wallet fully compatible with sending and receiving BTC and ordinals inscriptions!!! testing it myself now

the best part is

most prominent Bitcoiners have had me blocked for years
most Bitcoiners dismiss me as a shitcoiner
most Bitcoiners accuse me of being a scammer
I even got accused of not running a full node in a purity test last week I wonder if they can send an ordinal without internet?

I can

didn't know the binance beacon "chain" gets daily manual restarts

every 24h a chance for validators to collude (yeah right they're all centrally controlled) and inject new tokens from nowhere

Binance Built a Blockchain, Except it Didn’t by @patrick_novum medium.datadriveninvestor.com/binance-built-… it's a long article with a large preamble explaining what a blockchain is

100% full refunds for the Lotus project are underway. ♥️ We confirmed that we would move forward with full refunds in an announcement last night:

Friends, you've been patient for two weeks, and if you've been following the Lotus project updates, you know that a legal demand for us to cease and desist has delayed our timeline.

These delays mean the Lotus project cannot continue as planned.

We will fully refund pledgers.🧵 All funds received via pledge at our crowdsale page lotus.mirror.xyz/crowdfunds/0xb… have been held unmoved in our project multisig here: etherscan.io/address/0x88B6…
*The crowdsale page 404s; it was taken down when @viamirror's host received a tortiously issued DMCA notice.

#NFT use case I want to build: #SlowBoat

>unfairly cheap, un-front-runnable Proof-of-Provenance registration of created digital assets

>immutable NFT shipping containers for digital works Image #SlowBoat is a protocol that allows a creator to auto-sign, with an NFT from a privkey she controls, any draft of a work in progress, including final.

It is scary to get these. Suggestions appreciated, but here's how I would deal with it:
1. DO NOT SEND FUNDS. You won't be left alone; now they know an email threat pays, and they'll ask for more, more often. 2. NEVER RESPOND. Let them assume you've moved and changed all your leaked info. They will move on to a more likely target.

Steps you can take if you find your full name, address, and main phone number in the @Ledger data dump:

1. Immediately get a new phone number as your main. Use a different email address than the compromised one to let people know. Sorry, this is arduous. 1a. If you can afford to, keep the old #, activate it on an old device, so you can respond to known contacts "please use my new number"

1b. Also log any non-whitelisted texts/calls/phishes to that number, as a record in case harassment/abuse escalates (THANKS @Ledger 🤬)

We're attracted to having large numbers of things.
Some #altcoins should therefore split to unlock latent value; the more utilitarian the $crypto token, the more potential benefit if cheap & numerous.
eg $GEO - large caches seem more bountiful, single tokens have cheap utilities More examples:
$BLOCK - Service rewards are non-decimal numbers
$FANS - small bets are still whole numbers; big bets are BIG numbers
$DCR - better representation as a currency as well as store of value
