14 years ago Russia invaded #Georgia, tortured and murdered civilians, destroyed homes and occupied 20% of Georgian territories.The war is not over - Russia is using a set of hybrid tools to turn Georgia into an anti-Western (“neutral”) failed state. 1/
In August 2008, Russian military forces launched a full-scale land, air and sea offensive against Georgia. The military aggression resulted in the displacement of over 150k citizens and the death of 170 servicemen, 14 policemen and 228 civilians. 2/

#Medvedev published a rant on Vkontakte about reestablishing the borders of his homeland. He called #Georgia and #Kazakhstan “artificial states” and stated that until 1801 Georgia did not exist, but appeared only within the borders of the Russian Empire. 1/
