I think we need to talk about the somewhat forgotten #history of British internal colonialism. Specifically, within #TheFens of eastern England. 1/ Decolonising our studies of the past, in history and archaeology, has rightly become a central concern among many scholars. The continuing dehumanisation and exploitation of colonised peoples should be enthusiastically rejected, not enabled to continue, however unconsciously. 2/
