The NYpost is famously part of a propaganda network for organized crime and the Kremlin. The account was never suspended. This whole thing is a result of lobbying efforts. This NY Post story makes that clear.

Winner of the Garbage, I don't know what the f*ck I'm talking about take of the week award. Tax revenues for FG are ~6% on a good day. Rent seeking gov't isn't the problem. The problem is complete lack of institutions to keep the oligarch rent seekers in check, because of an underfunded gov't. This is gaslighting.

Trump supporter latte is angry that Apc touted a new tomato paste factory for political clout (which is poor form without asking owner, especially cause she is the first comment saying take it down) but trump literally did this more than anyone, and it actually was often a lie washingtonpost.com/business/2019/…

Along the way Stalin also killed millions of people in the process, through famine, political purges, and just outright slaughter. So did Mao, through the same mechanisms. Jesus Christ, this guy goes through this whole pretty decent thread, then it turns out he is a tankie. Libertarianism's logical end is feudalism, antebellum US, Pinochet's Chile, etc. The socialism he talks about is Maoism and stalinism. Not so great either. Really what has never been tried is a sustained period of socially and racially just free market capitalism with guardrails.

So, since I looked at these FARA applications, its really interesting that Kanu is having Mercury PublicAffairs lobby on his behalfwith the governments of Qatar, Kazakhstan, Libya, Zimbabwe, and with a Russian EN+ group which has a controlling stake in Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska's Rusal, and with Chinese state owned HIKVISION. HIKVISION has links to the Chinese PLA. Yea, I wonder where those AK47s are coming from....HIKVISION is also the company that runs the surveillance of uighers in Xinjiang...so much for human rights.

Oh lord. Not getting your clients consent to use this service is probably breaching confidentiality. Using this service may arguably waive attorney client privilege, especially if you get your client to consent because you're complying with ethics rules of confidentiality. And if you're wondering the difference, the duty of confidentiality is an ethical requirement that is much more restrictive than the attorney client privilege which is an evidentiary privilege that applies to attorney client communications.

Think about this. I have no horse in the race that is Nigerian politics. I have no partisan affiliation or interest in having one. Its not my fight. But we all have a part in calling out disinformation. And for some reason not only do I get called a BMC catfish, but one might indeed thing I am a APC partisan. This doesn't say anything about me. But it says a lot about who is using disinformation as a weapon and who isnt.

Except that one on the right is for a summit in July. Entirely different conference. This is as fake news as it gets. And its intentional, make no mistake. These fools keep bringing my attention to them.I do not understand.

Read for yourself:

allafrica.com/stories/202105… The summit he just left for is currently take place as we speak.

Upon further reflection, maybe nigeria is different, but I don't know anyone in Benin that would make the "waste of taxpayers money arguement." This is a wholly American right type of arguement. Similar to honilatte's "illegal immigration posts" which isn't possible w ecowas. Then, never ever responds with tax bill or even what business they are in. Claim to be in corporate sector. Never addresses these things, just narrative pushing. Then nothing and im allegedly muted. and then this same "postponed" thing that is being pushed all of a sudden,

I'll add that the failure of the US to properly anticipate and have a plan for the post Soviet economy, and an obsessive focus on contract and property rights, without considering the greater context of corruption, makes us complicit in the current state of things. And then we just totally abandoned the situation because of 9/11. (Which there is evidence Russia had a hand in, by the way). And here we are.

Most insidious part of this, is I bet the back story is entirely fabricated. Much like tales of chicken bones, $1,000 overdrafts, NGOs abandoning clients, and companies deciding not to invest in Nigeria when presented with a list of regulations they would have to comply with. All in an effort to advance some other, targeted narrative. This is psychological warfare, and its hard to even apprehend that its going on.

Owned a business in Republic of Benin. Paid a 60% effective rate. Higher than Nigeria. One of the highest in the world. Also, as an American, I am subject to a worldwide taxation system, not source, so double taxes. But yea, I have no idea..... Oh and then despite paying taxes, I had to grade the road in front of my house with my neighbors, run a generator 25% of the time, and maintain my own water pressure. But ya know, what does oyinbo know.

To my earlier point. Qanon extremism is a psyop. And it isn't confined to America. It has taken root in Nigeria too, among other places. And also, for the record, Qanon is also the protcols of the elders of Zion repurposed.

So I honestly do not know if this dude is simply a useful idiot or a disinformation bot. It’s a distinction without consequence. He did however insist that I comment more on US matters. So without further ado, let’s get to it. Over the past 5 days his TL is dedicated to 2 things: 1) attacking Pantami.
2.) regurgitating a mix of right wing/gop/kremlin propoganda and misinformation.

There seems to be this binary idea that if you call out someone involved in the #endsars movement for bullshit you are calling out the whole movement. This is false. Policy brutality has a long history going back to colonial times, this is not in dispute. Protest demanding change and justice is unquestionably the right thing to do. However, some are not amplifying these righteous calls for action in good faith.

@DarrenLinvill @plwarre Saw the @rollingstone article. I think there is a new element to the current disinformation campaign being waged that makes it unprecedented, and it is not the unprecedented cheap reach afforded the Russian campaigns. The Russian campaign is a the same thing on steroids. I think what is being missed is there is a new actor in this using the same tactics previously only available to nation states and their intelligence services. This is where the cheap reach makes a difference. It has permitted private actors to enter the
