Ever get that awkward moment when a student complains about a 'poorly-run' module? Lecturer doesn't know what assessment is, can't answer questions etc.
And we do this "um..well" response because we don't criticize colleagues 🤷
Maybe we should use this to develop academic literacy and be transparent about what's often going on:
Fair chance your lecturer is on a zero-hours contract. Likely recruited a week or so before the module started

1. Don't call them SR's, your students will freak out if they read anything about proper SRs. If you want students to go through the motions of an SR go for something like Systematised/structured Lit Review and emphasize the difference
