I think @tarunchitra raises some legit concerns here about what DeSci is perceived as. I've been concerned recently with the amount of pseudo-science tokens launching, memecoin communities just riding on DeSci hype
This has absolutely zero to do with DeSci. It happens in any new crypto vertical. Groundbreaking new concepts invite confusion, hate, speculation, profiteering, scams
I remember when the first AI coin wave kicked off in February 2023. Everyone called the projects scams, and many were, but real industry heavyweights emerged. Would we call AI agents today a scam?
Calling a new nascent vertical dedicated to science a scam is very shortsighted
