Journalists and students were attacked by campus security this evening at Penn State. By all accounts the gathering of students who were there to oppose Proud Boys appearing on campus, were peaceful. I am disgusted.
We see it in the mental health crisis that is perhaps most prominent on college campuses, but happening everywhere. We see it in increased road rage incidents and customer outbursts.

The fact that people are so easily missing that the monster on thill is commentary on the entertainment industry is so bizarre to me. In general millenials heard it loud and clear, and Gen z is confused.
This could be for a few reasons. First, we millennials lived through the toxic early 2000s. Basically think of all the horrible things people say about appearance on the internet, only have it come directly from the media. And no one thought it was wrong.

On Friday I visited Ellis Island for the first time. I was surprisingly emotional. The gravity of the place, like many Americans, was not lost on me.
Since everyone seems to be an expert on my state lately, I thought I would set the record straight on what exactly is going on here.
First, a little on me. I am an older millennial and I have lived in Pennsylvania literally my entire life. My grandfathers were a coal miner and a steel worker. My father a public school teacher.
