RTI Amendment Bill has been passed by the Lok Sabha. It shall weaken the Right to Know, because the Information Commissioners shall lose their autonomy and shall be at the beck & call of the Central Govt

As citizens, we should be outraged because this is an assault on our Rights I am not saying that Govt’s haven’t mooted the idea of diluting the RTI Act in the past. There have been call by parties in power and bureaucrats to rethink the RTI, so as to suit their own interests. But people have resisted it. What disturbs is that there was no resistance.
