Seeing a lot on here about the “precedent” set in the #Rittenhouse verdict but I think that is the wrong way to look at it. This is a STATE case and in the state of WI, you can claim self defense even if you started the fight, which isn’t the case in many other states. 1/ He may have been convicted on at least some charges in most other states with more competent prosecutors, less biased judge and less generous statutes with regard to self defense. 2/
