There is no denying that the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union are his biggest frustration.
He once called the collapse of the Soviet Union "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the twentieth century" because 2 /“tens of millions of compatriots are now outside the borders of Russian territory"
Putin wants to reclaim the Soviet Union.
He wants a powerful and safe Russia. It is not the objective, but the interpretation thereof that brings Western countries out of balance

THREAD - When I look at what’s happening in the US, the increasing polarization and its impact on society worries me the most. Politics has fallen into name calling, unlawfulness , conspiracy theories and bitterness. A trench war is being fought without any progress being made. You would expect a president to play a mediating role in this, to bring about unity, to try to keep the nation together. But the only thing tRump does is spread more divisions, harden opposites, & provoke hatred.
As president tRump is a desaster to democracy, America & the world.

1/BREXIT & THINGS - Once there was an island country that fought the vilest ennemy. Many a horrible battle was fought on a continent called Europe, millions of citizens were killed and the island country was bombed several times. Together with 5 other countries and with the help 2/of the Resistance and soldiers from countries occupied by the ennemy, who had fled to the island country to join the island’s army, they succeeded to defeat this horrible foe.
When the war was finally over,everybody declared “never again”.

This thread is kind of a “J’accuse”.

Presumably along with many other non Americans, I’m watching what’s happening in the US with bafflement.
tRump has placed a magnifying glass on everything that is wrong with the US and the world is watching with disgust. 2/The US is the richest country in the world. Yet this exists
You wonder why people’re receptive to tRump’s populist demagoguery & lies?
To me this is the result of a basically selfish and corrupt society.
