Property Investment, Why Blacks Fail!

Observing, whenever sectional titles get a sizeable number of black Africans, whites & others sell their properties. Some call racism but I've observed somethings about Africans that drive others away. I'll list in thread 1/8 Firstly property investment isn't passive. Unfortunately most blacks buy believing it's an easy investment & only goes up. They are not prepared for the admin that it demands. So any time asked of them becomes an annoyance. Who wants to invest with disinterested shareholders? 2/8

So @mangwana_jasper @263Chat is saying ZEC is mishandling critical data & once they do that with no reason, the onus is on the people to check the BVR & rectify these errors? Who is mishandling the data & why are they being allowed to do that? 1/5 Person A is moved from Harare constituency to Shurugwi without knowledge or requesting so. How secure is the data from mishandling? Is this mishandling traceable? Mishandling of ~140k records in this way cannot be wished away as falling within margin of error, it's blatant! 2/5

When Cheap is Costly (Spreads)

EE has no limit orders so each time you buy, you buy at whatever price subject to sanity. Say you want to buy Sasol for R1000 & price is between R10-11 today. You send instruction, EE finds a price of R10.10 & buys plus R0.50 spread so R10.60 1/7 EE calculates R1000/10.60=94.34 shares then buys at R10.10x94.34 = R952.83. The brokerage is 0.25% of R1000 = R2.5. So the spread is (1000-952.83) R47.17+2.5 cost is R49.67 which is 4.967% of your investment amount. Is this bad? Not really, what you don't know won't kill you 2/7

The 🇿🇼 Govt: Wealth Destruction 101

Humans take time to learn, for Zimbabweans missed lessons mean generational poverty. While people laugh at govt policy failure, to Mugabe, ED & army it's policy wins. You get the laugh, they get your wealth. Who must laugh? 1/7 #ZanupfMustGo It began when Mugabe realized citizens were about to fund his removal (remember cheques to MDC 1999 on TV?). So Mugabe had to take wealth from those people, first was land then after financial assets (pensions, shares, currency). The wise white citizens saw it & ran offshore 2/7

1. How To Stay Ahead

DIY investing isn't easy because you have to do the following:

1. An idea of doing own taxes
2. Do chart analysis almost everyday
3. Read economic news, gauge investor sentiment
4. Keep mind in top shape
5. Avoid a lot noise & lead a very focused life. 2. For taxes you must read on what is CGT (capital gains tax), register for efiling with SARS or own tax collector, read tax codes for when you're sent forms from bank or broker. Charting I use tradingview.com mostly because you can find any share, anywhere.

1. Why Forex Trading Is a NO!

This thread is inspired by @FrugalLocal, a follow-up on his tweet. First reason is CAPITAL. Forex moves less than 1% best times & 1% of $1,000 is equal to $10. Who wants to make $10 in a month? Nobody does, it's too small to motivate a hungry soul. 2. LEVERAGE

If $1,000 isn't attractive how about being loaned 100 times that to trade with? $100,000. Suddenly 1% is $1,000 double your capital? How cool is that? Well not so cool considering 1% can easily be -1%. The loan condition is you must've $1000 of your own at all times.

1. Why Life Insurance Isn't Great (Thread)

Was responding to a post on @ImcocoMash's TL & was asked to do this thread (thanks Nenekazi). I'll explain why "Life Insurance" is probably a bad saving. My first job 3 jobs were in this field 2002-2006 in Zimbabwe. So I got an idea. 2. Before taking it consider the following factors well:

1. Economy outlook
2. Inflation outlook
3. Political outlook
4. Health outlook
5. Financial outlook

What do you think the economy is going to be like in 10-15 years? Where do you see inflation? How is politics shaping?

1. #GodIsInIt & @nelsonchamisa,

It's been a while since we last seen that hashtag. As a Believer I'm always seeking understanding when God seems to have failed. If God was in it & victory certain did God get rigged by the regime in Zimbabwe? Can Nelson explain what happened? 2. Let God be true & every man a liar, if we go by that did Chamisa lie? Behold we go into 7 days of fasting. Is God in it? Will He prevail this time? Do leaders in Christ know how they can shipwreck simple ones' faith? Chamisa owes the believers who believed him an explanation.

1. Zimbabwe: Poverty in Midst of Plenty

This thread is about self-sabotage habits of Zimbabweans. I went home & saw almost everyone has a car. Bought for US$2,000-3,000, second hand. I thought this was poverty on steroids, why spend so much on a car in a risky economy? 2. My advice, take your $3K (R45K) & open non-resident account in SA then open an investor account with FNB, go back home & sit behind a computer and start trading on the JSE targeting 8-10% growth before selling. Usually 8-10% cycles on JSE Top40 happen within 2 months.
