Diaspora, it’s irresponsible to unleash “hot takes” without research on the context and history of your home country. Don’t impose your half-narratives over the lived experience of others. Repeating populist rhetoric without understanding backstory is a privilege. Check it. Would you be as okay with a PM violating the constitution & dissolving a democratically elected parliament in a desperate bid to stay in power in your host country? I recall quite a few in Canada being very upset when PM Trudeau imposed an emergency for just a few days.

#NoorMukaddam was violently murdered as a crowd of friends, servants and Zahid’s family were just standing around outside.According to allegedly leaked audio of the Therapy Works team, all Zakir Jaffer had to say light-heartedly was “I think he’s soliciting a girl inside.” —1 Remember, she actually managed to ESCAPE that room. She jumped off and was almost at the gate. That is the point when you’ve made it, you think now you’ll be rescued. And yet no one came to help till she was dragged back inside by the psychopath. —2

thestar.com/podcasts/thism… Kaavan the elephant ended up in Pakistan on the whims of a little girl whose dad was a military dictator, languished for 35 years, lost his best friend Saheli, 8 years ago, and was very lonely and sad. And then he made an unexpected ally. Cher.
