This is a terrific thing to do, and something I wrote a bunch about several years ago.

But don't underestimate the difficulty of transitioning the federal fleet. It will take a lot more work than just the EO.

Couple quick thoughts... First, keep in mind that the first executive orders on this date back to the Bush Administration (EO 13423 in 2007). And the Obama administration pushed very, very hard for fleet electrification as well.

Hey, did anyone notice that we released an RPS paper this week?

Whew! Quite a discussion.

I am not an RPS expert, so I don't have a lengthy thread coming on the substance of the paper or the responses. But I do have a few thoughts on releasing a paper like this. First, a lot of the responses have kept largely to substance. While I do not agree with all of @JesseJenkins responses to the paper, I think it is noteworthy that he has kept his comments focused on the paper's analysis.

That is the core of what makes #energytwitter so good.
