📜⚽️ UEFA European Club Finance report ⚽️📜 (3 mins reading time)

📰 UEFA has published it's report into European club finances, based on 2022/23

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 It's an 118 page document but here's a few tweets summarising some points of interest to Scottish football fans

🔟 From a high level perspective, we can see in many respects we are a top 10 or 11 league - which aligns with where we are in the UEFA coefficient

-----

-----

🎟️ Scotland is the 7th top league in terms of money received from fans through gate receipts & we are 9th for overall net equity

🏟️ We sit 11th for both net book value of stadia & for total revenue, while we are 13th for UEFA revenue

🍀 It's worth noting that Celtic alone received more UEFA revenue than the entire SPFL TV deal was worth

📺 This brings me on to where we have the most obvious room for improvement - our TV deal, which is the 16th most lucrative in Europe

🔁Please repost any of the tweets you find interesting (Tweet 1/7)Image 🏟️ We already know from this thread () posted the last time UEFA produced a European football report that Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 has the highest attendance per capita in all of Europe, by far

🏟️ This new report shows us that in terms of average stadium capacity, Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (20,700) rank 8th, ahead of Netherlands🇳🇱 Portugal🇵🇹 and Belgium🇧🇪

🍢 Of course we have a smaller league than those countries, with two really big stadiums - which skews this average in our favour

Villarreal's elimination from #UCL last night means it is 100% sure that this year's #UCL winner will also qualify for next year's #UCL group stage automatically via their domestic league

This has a small knock on effect for @JamTarts in terms of *potential* #UEL PO opponents I tweeted this yesterday 👇

Morning a'body - lots of co-efficient and UEFA competition chat floating about after last night's announcement from @UEFA that 🇷🇺's teams will be banned for season '2022-'23.

Full statement: bit.ly/3sa498B (see 2022/23 UEFA club competitons + links for access table) What does this mean for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿's teams? Well we now have more certainty on access positions for next season, as well as being able to discount the possibility of away trips to 🇷🇺. Let's take a look on a team by team basis...
