(aside: i think they got a handful of properties wrong about dep, probably most interestingly completeness - dep's search pattern did discard certain paths while backtracking) @arcatan @hillelogram OTTOMH, i would say a few main factors contribute to the divergence. (It's really important to emphasize i don't think they *necessarily* have to be so different, merely that they are)
