My stack of coupons are now apparently worthless, which means that I won’t be shopping at @BedBathBeyond anymore. Remember what happened when JCPenny hired a guy from Apple and they did away with JCP coupons? They alienated the customer base. BB&B is now taking the same risk, and it just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Then again, I haven’t looked at their financials.

There are some interesting points in the Tecartus sBLA documents. #CARTcells

📌 formulation volume change

📌 BCA did not last past 12 months

📌 IL-6 was the only biomarker identified for both CRS Grade 3 and above AND NT Grade 3 and above

📌 Numerous trial variables 📌 3 of the 29 sites were inspected — including the 2 sites with the most important protocol deviations: Moffitt; Emory; and UChicago

📌 Insufficient MRD assay data for review by CDRH

📌 PROs were not assessed as part of the sBLA

There is nothing wrong with having open and honest conversations about the data. That doesn’t mean I’m an anti-vaxxer. I’ve had both doses, and I recently had my flu shot as well. Please don’t be afraid to discuss strengths and weaknesses of the booster data. Name calling is for people who can’t come up with good counter arguments but feel the need to opine. Name calling is not science. Debating the data is science.

Hey, @PeterDaszak, why did you redact a peer reviewed publication from your biosketch? That’s very odd. documentcloud.org/documents/2105… ImageImageImageImage This granted @NIHFunding application is about 200 pages shorter than our P01 resubmission, just for perspective.

This list price is more than double the ICER valuation on the CAR. I don’t think the European health authorities are going to green light this CAR at this price. I don’t see Europe paying over $200,000/dose since they don’t care about @NIH fees and/or royalties. $BLUE $BMY This also highlights a much bigger problem with CARs, esp. for solid tumors. It’s a problem we have always prepared for at SES but could hurt our competitors that plan to charge over $400,000/dose. In solid tumors, if the CARs aren’t curative, they have to be really cheap!

I am going to add FDA BPCA trial design SME assembly participant to my biosketch. It’s close to being on a working group.

Random thought of the day: cosmetic producers for the most part remain clueless when it comes to the environment. Case in point is the new @jaclyncosmetics packaging. If companies don’t start choosing more sustainable packaging, they are going to lose customers IMHO. I don’t care if your packaging is pretty; the only people who care about that are the YouTube influencers. I do care if your packaging is going to take hundreds of years — if not more — to break down in a landfill.

If @bluebirdbio gets away with a list price that’s double the ICER valuation, does that mean that the Jansen BCMA CAR will cost over $1M/dose once it’s approved by FDA? Paging @RepKatiePorter and her whiteboard. #CARTcells I really hope @nytimes doesn’t call me again. If I have anything to say, it will be posted here on my timeline as always.

The newly approved $BLUE BCMA CAR is in-licensed from @theNCI.

Slow cooker marinara sauce attempt 1. ImageImage I hope this is good as I am planning on freezing part of this batch for future use.

Update: I hiked nearly 4 miles just hours after receiving dose 1. The only symptom I have to report from dose 1 was some minor swelling/pain at the injection site, but it wasn’t enough to even warrant taking an Advil. Now I just have to wait for appointment 2. #happy Image I always get a sore arm from vaccination. It happens every year with the flu shot too.

@SDOHnews Now might be a good time to revisit my whistleblowing at @OSUWexMed. I have new evidence that demonstrates that the conspiracy and coverup are ongoing. I sent new evidence to ALJ C. Young. It is thought that some employees may have been bribed to keep quiet. Email me! @SDOHnews @OSUWexMed A federal investigation is needed as the issue crosses state lines due to @bertagnollimm et al. It’s not like it’s a big deal. It’s only major cancer research fraud involving big pharma and many universities. I know I did the right thing. Monica has aided and abetted.
