@GovKathyHochul @MedSocietyNYS I'm so old I remember those days when NY's physicians could meet with NY's governor to discuss issues affecting NY medical care at settings other than campaign fundraisers.
@GovKathyHochul @MedSocietyNYS Were I to meet with Gov Hochul, I'd propose a commission to work on NY's entire #tort system, inviting all stakeholders to look at a path forward. Although clearly #LiabilityReform IS #HealthcareReform, all liability issues should be on the table.

With all the talk about Jim Crow, here's some history:
In the early 1830s, the white actor Thomas Dartmouth “Daddy” Rice was propelled to stardom for performing minstrel routines as the fictional “Jim Crow,” a caricature of a clumsy, dimwitted Black enslaved man. 1
Rice claimed to have first created the character after witnessing an elderly Black man singing a tune called “Jump Jim Crow” in Louisville, Kentucky. 2
