I've looked over @_BenjaminAJones paper "Economic estimation of Bitcoin mining's climate damages demonstrates closer resemblance to digital crude than digital gold" (nature.com/articles/s4159…) and here's what I found: 🧵@thetrocro, @jyn_urso @level39 @nic__carter First of all, I find it adds a novel angle to the conversation. And that is the idea of environmental damages per value of coin created. To me, it's the central idea of this piece. Two questions arise:
1 .How useful is this idea, and
2. how well executed is the analysis here?
