1/6. I decided to write an oped about the #couttsblockade seizure. @edmontonjournal published it today.

Among the items found in the #Coutts seizure is a vest emblazoned with the INFIDEL patch. It says much about where these guys are coming from. edmontonjournal.com/opinion/column… 2/6. I tweeted before on how the INFIDEL patch is an Islamophobic symbol that first became a fashion statement in the US military.

I confirmed this with Chris Rodda of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation in DC.

She said it's part of the military's "crusader subculture."

1/4. Social media searches of those arrested at #couttsblockade reveals a lot about motives and ideology.

One arrested is Jaclyn Martin. A FB page with that name features videos from Coutts, like one of cops moving in.

Chances of this being another Jaclyn Martin is thin. 2/4. Tellingly, she posted a vid of extreme right, race war preacher Jeremy Mackenzie, "Raging Dissident," who's been banned multiple times on YouTube, among other platforms.

In one clip, MacKenzie says BJ Dichter & convoy leaders are too close to Conservative Party, too soft.

1/6. The CBC released names of the 11 armed people arrested in #Coutts Mon night:

One of them is Joanne Person of Coutts, whose FB page includes multiple Islamophobic posts. #FreedomConvoy

They're so numerous I can hardly keep up. Here's a sampling: 2/6. Another example is pushing the idea that the Trudeau Liberals are working with Islamists trying to take over Canada.

Or, as Person would have it, working for the Nation of Islam.

1/15. The #TorontoConvoy is now reduced to handful of ppl thanks to authorities moving out the trucks and crowds a few hours ago.

I chatted with Greg here from New Brunswick, who carried around what was by far the most antisemitic signage of the day.

He said he's just sharing the truth (that Jews are behind COVID etc).
