Videos sent in shows NYPD SRG response to people arriving at jail support last night. Shoving, pulling, punching. This was all just to make them move from one barricaded public sidewalk to another.

One person reportedly vomited & had seizures, at least 3 were arrested on site. The neon jackets are NYPD SRG bikes, also referred to as “the turtle boys” (in 2020, they wore bmx gear under their green tops, which gave the impression of a turtle shell).

The sidewalk is public with barricades along it. There’s no entry into 1PP on this sidewalk.

NEW: An autonomous network of active duty service members across nearly all U.S. Armed Forces branches have released an open letter condemning Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

“Support for the conduct of the IDF is unacceptable and inconsistent with our values in the US Armed Forces.”

Over 100 active duty military across Air Force, Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, as well as reservists and National Guard, and their families, have endorsed this open letter, which is anonymous and addressed to no one to protect the identities of those involved.

UPDATE: I got footage of the self-immolation at the Israeli embassy in DC.

The individual, wearing fatigues, introduces himself as “an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force and I will no longer be complicit in genocide.”

After ignition, he repeatedly yells “Free Palestine.”
Image For a full minute, police (unknown sector, maybe fed or DC) see him, say “May I help you sir?” and as he’s on fire scream at him to get on the ground but do not otherwise engage. One cop appears with a gun drawn on the man after he collapses, still consumed by flames.

Critically challenging the loudest arbiters of hate is not platforming, and isn’t intended to deradicalize their base. It instead provides a chance to examine, in critical terms, how their own radicalization is fostered to better understand what, exactly, it is you’re up against. It’s just plain silly to think an endeavor in critical examination of someone in a position of extremist influence is some magic trap that sends them packing. It doesn’t make them stop, but it can help you learn how to pull others away, is a resource you can pull from.

Happening soon: Vigil for #JordanNeely
7pm at Broadway-Lafayette station.

I’m told far right propagandists are already at the station. They take footage to foment hate & far right causes. Image On the ground at Broadway-Lafayette, TARU is setting up a surveillance dome. I’ve been told these domes contain facial recognition tech and livestream back to 1 Police Plaza, but I haven’t confirmed that.

Performance artist @CHBAF has just been arrested at Broadway Junction.

I’m told she was arrested for performing.

Per @AlexKentTN, NYPD claims she was “blocking the flow of pedestrian traffic” & threatened people with her with arrest if they attempted to re-enter the station. Also per @AlexKentTN: “Her camera operator received a summons for operating an unauthorized media device.”

No idea what an “unauthorized media device” is.

It’s very funny that a fascist is trying to schmooze people to try agitating them into preventing me from doing my work when everybody knows that’s how he moves. This is truly hilarious to me because I’ve been monitoring and documenting exactly how this far right loser moves. He apparently thinks I won’t figure it out? He sent someone a clip of this cop making fun of a conspiracist, filmed by the conspiracist, as “proof”:

One aspect of the pressure cooker upset about how Jordan Neely’s killing has been covered was that outlets were releasing details about Daniel Penny but not his name.

Evidently outlets/reporters had gotten the name but NYPD/Marines/Penny himself/whoever weren’t confirming it. Withholding because it wasn’t 100% certain, coupled with some truly heinous coverage seeking to establish a narrative that strangling a man to death for yelling was somehow justified, sparked intense distrust of individual media outlets and the industry as a whole.

If you’re new here, a basic rundown of who I am and what I do:

I’m a credentialed member of the press. My writing has been published in a slew of outlets. My footage has appeared all over. I post here because it’s accessible. I’ve provided background info and insight to every major publication, uncredited and credited. I’ve covered stories months before the big guys took interest. I deeply research and lay out everything I learn so you can learn with me.

NYPD has released images of some people they’re trying to identify from yesterday’s protest.

They have not released images seeking the identity of the two people who helped hold Jordan Neely down as he was strangled to death by a 24-year old conservative. I reviewed my footage, and the stills didn’t come from me.

Second thing to know is NYPD will release an ask for help IDing people. These are typically ones their facial recognition technology has failed to identify. It does not mean they are the only people NYPD is looking for.

I’m seeing little tendrils starting up again that plagued the uprising space in 2020 and led to a lot of paranoia, suspicion, and harm.

Please be mindful that your emotions can be exploited to coerce you into trusting bad info given to you by others as well as from yourself. It’s incredibly easy to trust bad info if you are primed to receive it moving from an emotion-first basis, and protest provokes a ton of stressful emotions.

It is also very common for people to communicate speculation as fact, which then carries to others as fact.

Today in The Easiest ID of All Time: Meet Maximilian Stuart.

Max attended Stuyvesant High School & is now active with a wannabe Patriot Front group called “American Nationalist Initiative.”

He thought it’d be a good idea to attend a clinic harassment with his friend yesterday. ImageImageImageImage Did you know if a church is open you can just… walk in? Even if there’s little Nazis hiding inside?

Happening soon: People are gathering at Broadway-Lafayette subway station for a 2pm #JusticeForJordanNeely protest.

Once again, police presence is substantial inside the station. 2 police vans stationed outside one entrance. At least 8 cops on the platform plus 2 anti-terrorism. A vigil for #JordanNeely is set up by stairs going into the platform. A member of @PassengersUnite is speaking to cameras. “This never should have happened,” he said. States criminalization of poverty largely happens on the outskirts in predominantly black & brown communities. Image

Happening now at Basilica of Old St. Pat’s, #Manhattan:

NYPD has barricaded both sides of the street. SRG, a counter-terrorism unit that is not supposed to be deployed to protests, is stationed with flex cuffs.

Later, NYPD will escort clinic harassers to a Planned Parenthood. Thread here provides some background on who attends these “processions”:

Sharing again this morning: This claim is entirely false and based on a flurry of bogus info that has spun up.

The person who made this thread has been repeatedly, emphatically told it was incorrect and untrue and he has refused to delete it (clout chasing!). Image I brought this up last night and had hoped @kdgriffit would come to his senses and delete the obvious disinfo, but he instead chose to double down.

This is not a serious person.

While it should be obvious as absurd on its face, Daniel Penny's father's name is not Daniel Penny.

The reason people believe this is because they Googled "Daniel Penny" and found a former NYPD. They also found a Daniel Penny in USMC who's an auto mech. That's not him, either. Daniel Penny is a medium-common name. It is insufficient 'research' to find a Google search of a name and do no further digging. This is how you decide a guy who's a 13-year USMC vet is the same as a 24-year old kid.

Please vet through what you're finding before you post it. Jfc

a gentle and loving reminder if you see me at a protest i am very much working. i'm shooting video, scanning the scene, analyzing info, processing footage. if i can't chat for long or am filming, i promise it's not you - it's the job! anyone who's tried talking to me at protests over the past 3 years can tell you my brain is ping ponging and that i circle back when there's downtime, and zoom away when that downtime evaporates.

Please be conscientious about which protests for #JordanNeely you attend. It’s a sick, terrible thing but high profile stories of injustice tend to get co-opted by grifts that exploit tragedy to brand build.

I will do my best to vouch and verify before sharing. In general, some good parameters:
- Is the organizer directly active in the topic at hand?
- If no to the first, is the organizer flying solo or joined in collaboration with multiple groups that focus on the same topic?

Daniel Penny, 24, a Queens resident from West Islip, NY, choked Jordan Neely, 30, on a northbound F train on Monday afternoon.

Neely was reportedly yelling about being hungry and threw his jacket on the ground. Penny jumped up and grabbed him from behind, choking him. 1/ It was reported by NYDailyNews that Penny “separated from service” in 2021. It is unclear what the circumstances of his separation are.

I spoke with a former Marine about their training. He reviewed the footage and provided some speculative insights:

Folks: Was in the middle of a friend telling me she couldn’t shake how familiar this guy looked when she found and sent me this thread.

Says she met him once in 2017 at a party her ex, who he played lacrosse with, was throwing. Said he was “kinda intense and quiet in a weird way.”

I ride the subways a lot too and I don’t think people having an episode or who get on the train asking for food & funds “terrorize the entire car.” I just mind my damn business. Recently was on the train and a guy got on in the midst of an episode, having a heated argument with no one. Passengers freaked out & fled. One sat near me. I pointed out that he was in his own mind, didn’t even know we were there. Suddenly he seemed much less scary to her.
