NYPD claimed to protestors they used bodycam footage and a clip posted to social media to arrest people at jail support after arresting people during the George Floyd annual march. Likely saw the clip and then searched for it on bodycam. This comes after NYPD stole my footage, cropped out the watermark, and chopped it up to make ludicrous propaganda justifying their brutality at the Nakba protest (people threw water (it was already raining!) and pieces of bread toward antagonistic cops wearing ballistic helmets).

Smokey the Bigot was earlier spotted at a J6 “vigil” outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Jan. 2022 that was disrupted by a fart bloc, cross-confirmed when he showed up at Jackson Heights wearing his 1 shirt.

NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell and Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry, both of whom who’ve engaged in bizarre attacks on social media against journalists, politicians, & critics appear to be absent from today’s City Council budget hearing.

Palestinian students at Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg, Germany received an email from the school that they’ve been recategorized as “stateless” due to governmental “changes in the statistical requirements.”

Germany no longer recognizes Palestinian as a nationality. I reached out to the student who shared this email if they knew how many students at OVGU are Palestinian, now “stateless,” and they said students don’t have access to data like that, but said “there are many.”

A pattern seems to be emerging:
- Students launch a Gaza Solidarity Encampment
- University uses state force to sweep, arrest, suspend, evict, & brutalize students based on “safety concerns” or deceptive/false claims of antisemitism
- GSE relaunches with even more support Are the universities figuring out they’re doing a Streisand Effect? Or that they could’ve just engaged in dialogue with the students? And if so, why does it take University-approved police violence for them to come to that obvious realization?

NYPD entered @Columbia campus, led by Chell & Daughtry. SRG shouldered their way past students, then played a recording about an “unlawful encampment” and that students would be charged with trespassing.

At least a thousand students watching, yelling “Shame!” at NYPD. NYPD arrested at least 30 @Columbia students holding a peaceful demo calling on the university to divest and to end its political repression of pro-Palestine student activists.

They also detained 2 legal observers.

Since I’m stuck dogsitting, I’ve decided to take a little time getting into trouble with the law.

NYPD has been on a PR blitz for their new ‘being insane online’ strategy, claiming intent to “control the narrative” and push back against “misinformation.”

How’d this all start? NYPD top brass had taken to using this site to boast about arrests for minor infractions (stickers) and promising to use the full extent of the law to crack down on pro-Palestine protests.

These posts were, to put it lightly, comically insane.

Videos sent in shows NYPD SRG response to people arriving at jail support last night. Shoving, pulling, punching. This was all just to make them move from one barricaded public sidewalk to another.

One person reportedly vomited & had seizures, at least 3 were arrested on site. The neon jackets are NYPD SRG bikes, also referred to as “the turtle boys” (in 2020, they wore bmx gear under their green tops, which gave the impression of a turtle shell).

The sidewalk is public with barricades along it. There’s no entry into 1PP on this sidewalk.

NEW: An autonomous network of active duty service members across nearly all U.S. Armed Forces branches have released an open letter condemning Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

“Support for the conduct of the IDF is unacceptable and inconsistent with our values in the US Armed Forces.”

Over 100 active duty military across Air Force, Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, as well as reservists and National Guard, and their families, have endorsed this open letter, which is anonymous and addressed to no one to protect the identities of those involved.

UPDATE: I got footage of the self-immolation at the Israeli embassy in DC.

The individual, wearing fatigues, introduces himself as “an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force and I will no longer be complicit in genocide.”

After ignition, he repeatedly yells “Free Palestine.”

For a full minute, police (unknown sector, maybe fed or DC) see him, say “May I help you sir?” and as he’s on fire scream at him to get on the ground but do not otherwise engage. One cop appears with a gun drawn on the man after he collapses, still consumed by flames.

Critically challenging the loudest arbiters of hate is not platforming, and isn’t intended to deradicalize their base. It instead provides a chance to examine, in critical terms, how their own radicalization is fostered to better understand what, exactly, it is you’re up against. It’s just plain silly to think an endeavor in critical examination of someone in a position of extremist influence is some magic trap that sends them packing. It doesn’t make them stop, but it can help you learn how to pull others away, is a resource you can pull from.

I’m told far right propagandists are already at the station. They take footage to foment hate & far right causes. On the ground at Broadway-Lafayette, TARU is setting up a surveillance dome. I’ve been told these domes contain facial recognition tech and livestream back to 1 Police Plaza, but I haven’t confirmed that.

Performance artist @CHBAF has just been arrested at Broadway Junction.

I’m told she was arrested for performing.

Per @AlexKentTN, NYPD claims she was “blocking the flow of pedestrian traffic” & threatened people with her with arrest if they attempted to re-enter the station. Also per @AlexKentTN: “Her camera operator received a summons for operating an unauthorized media device.”

No idea what an “unauthorized media device” is.

It’s very funny that a fascist is trying to schmooze people to try agitating them into preventing me from doing my work when everybody knows that’s how he moves. This is truly hilarious to me because I’ve been monitoring and documenting exactly how this far right loser moves. He apparently thinks I won’t figure it out? He sent someone a clip of this cop making fun of a conspiracist, filmed by the conspiracist, as “proof”:

One aspect of the pressure cooker upset about how Jordan Neely’s killing has been covered was that outlets were releasing details about Daniel Penny but not his name.

Evidently outlets/reporters had gotten the name but NYPD/Marines/Penny himself/whoever weren’t confirming it. Withholding because it wasn’t 100% certain, coupled with some truly heinous coverage seeking to establish a narrative that strangling a man to death for yelling was somehow justified, sparked intense distrust of individual media outlets and the industry as a whole.

NYPD has released images of some people they’re trying to identify from yesterday’s protest.

They have not released images seeking the identity of the two people who helped hold Jordan Neely down as he was strangled to death by a 24-year old conservative. I reviewed my footage, and the stills didn’t come from me.

Second thing to know is NYPD will release an ask for help IDing people. These are typically ones their facial recognition technology has failed to identify. It does not mean they are the only people NYPD is looking for.

I’m seeing little tendrils starting up again that plagued the uprising space in 2020 and led to a lot of paranoia, suspicion, and harm.

Please be mindful that your emotions can be exploited to coerce you into trusting bad info given to you by others as well as from yourself. It’s incredibly easy to trust bad info if you are primed to receive it moving from an emotion-first basis, and protest provokes a ton of stressful emotions.

It is also very common for people to communicate speculation as fact, which then carries to others as fact.
