When you need to do the job of the psychologist in the U.S. healthcare system because just getting TESTED for ASD is apparently “not medically indicated” unless you’re “struggling enough” in the day to day.

• All IQ tests and documents from childhood education commenting on my behavior and affect

As an individual with #adhd with my own unique presentation and characteristics, I have THRIVED on WFH due to actually liking my new job and the fact that communication at work is primarily async by default.
I WISH this were the default mode of communication in workplaces
With ADHD, Programming, And any type of deep work;
Context switching & Interruptions are the biggest loss of productivity for me.
Cubicle drive by's, forced in person meetings that make me think "well i have a meeting in half an hour, cant start this involved project...:

Interesting thought from tonight's note-taking session.
Paper brought up some findings that show how owner/managers go "all-in" with their time investment in to their work to the neglect of other facets of the human experience: Health, Family, Leisure, etc.
What this reminds...
Me of is how people derive such a large and strong sense of self from where they work, and who they work for.
The first thing we usually ask in the USA: "What do you do?"
People gain their anchoring and sense of self from their work to the detriment of all other facets of life

So I have to learn web dev for work. It’s always been interesting to me but the sheer volume of the eco system is intimidating to say the least.
I need to learn React and basically be full stack for embedded web apps in my agency’s medical software. 😱
