Just finished reading the 135 page decision of Judge Marlo Malagar dismissing the terrorist proscription on the CPP-NPA. Very well researched at sobrang tibay ng mga argumento. No wonder hindi na mag-aapela ang DOJ.
Relying purely on documents and testimonies presented by the DOJ, plus jurisprudence and well established references on the subject matter, Judge Malagar comes to the conclusion that based on the Human Security Act of 2007, the CPP-NPA is not enggaged in terrorism.

(THREAD) Baka sabihing puro reklamo lang tayo. Here are SEVEN things government can (and should) do. These have been suggested time and again by critics of the government’s failed pandemic response:
1. Ramp up mass testing - from the current 30-40K tests per day, we have to test 120-130K per day to be able to identify those infected and pinpoint areas where more drastic measures are needed. Testing should be free of charge to encourage those suspected to take the test.

1. Massive, free testing for PUIs and PUMs. Free treatment for positive cases. 2. Community-based quarantine and treatment facilities (gyms, schools, empty condos, etc. can be converted). 3. Free or subsidized meds, sanitation and hygiene kits.

4. Adequate PPEs & extra hazard pay for all frontline health workers, professionals & volunteers. 5. Mandatory paid leaves for affected workers, subsidy of at least P10K for families of informal workers, plus other social protection packages.
