Who was Pushyamitra Shunga? Did he really destroy Buddhism?
In our country, there have been many kings and emperors, but none of them has identified themselves as a follower of the Vedic, Sanatan, or Hindu religion. No king has stated this in any inscription.
Some Savarna historians have credited Shunga with the establishment of Hinduism, which is a baseless claim as there is no evidence of any king named Pushyamitra Shunga. No historical record of the Shunga dynasty has been found. This claim by Savarna historians is utterly foolish.
