Warning Long Thread on #UkraineRussiaWar During the past week much has been made of the lack of forward progress made by the Russian Army (RA). I pointed out in my last long thread, that I believed the RA was going to stop offensive operations on 3 axis & focus on strategic 1/ strikes in Western Ukraine & the encirclement of Kyiv which I believe the MSM is confusing with being bogged down. I also pointed out that all militaries tend to take operational pauses after 3-4 weeks of combat operations to repair equipment, rest, resupply & replace 2/

My comment on this thread: First I have great respect for the members of the RCMP Protective Division, they have spent 15 years adding skills & capabilities that have made them a professional organization. I’ve worked closely with them several times & even trained with a few in + a past life. My thoughts: On occasions like the G-7 or Olympics the #CAF provides support to the RCMP but does not carry out close protection for the PM, cabinet or family members. During visits to hostile environments specially trained military members have provided close protection 1/7 to the PM & Cabinet members. In this case, it appears from MSM reports that a serious threat against the PM or the venue was made to the point that members of the #CAF with ballistic blankets were deployed to assist, the PM’s wife was evacuated and Trudeau was forced to wear 2/7
