If you're going to advocate for police reform right now, I'm going to need some evidence that earlier attempts at reforms have had *substantial* effects on the front end of police brutality. From my research, reform doesn't look good y'all.

For everyone losing hope around this election, may I remind you of the silver linings? The creation of a mass left movement is no small thing. We have brought fear to the lords of capital.
Even if Sanders loses, we've injected ideas into the public consciousness. The failure of one election is nothing. It was a chance to progress without force, but we are not dead! Our hearts are still beating like war drums. We can keep these fires lit in our hearts and voices.

If anyone was ever unclear, I came up in a time and place where dirtbag leftist meant something else. It meant your friends might die for any number of reasons. You practiced politics in the drug houses, under bridges, at the punk shows, and in the streets.
I'm not some ivory tower marxist or sjw purist. On the other hand, I'm not some edgelord memer. I am someone who has seen a lot, I know a lot, I've worked with all sorts of people and know that even the most "good" people struggle with demons.

North Korea is a great example. I have no interest in defending the totalitarian DPRK to westerners because their ideology is diametrically opposed to anything I believe in. I also have no interest in supporting an imperial war by the US though.
