Thread: A few days ago, the Swedish Center party (@Centerpartiet) voted to pursue a full ban on male (under 18) circumcision. Centerpartiet is not a niche party, it is center/liberal and a part of the conservative coalition, making their decision all the more outrageous. 1/4 Previously, the circumcision ban has been proposed by the far right, but the issue is becoming mainstream here in Sweden & is likely to pass, given the virulent anti-Jewish sentiment in the country, and if it does it will make Jewish life in Sweden impossible. 2/4

Thread: As 1 of those featured in the documentary mentioned in this article & by President Trump I’d like to make a few points: yes there has been clear foreign influence in Swedish media, spreading far-right propaganda, BUT there is fire beyond that smoke nytimes.com/2019/08/10/wor… For the past 5 years, my country of Sweden has seen a clear & undeniable rise in violent crime, gang activity, crimes against women (such as rape & assault), car burnings & bombs & we’ve seen entire areas of our cities become unsafe & totally or partially controlled by criminals

THREAD: Just landed in Paris. Sitting on the plane waiting for everyone to leave so I can be given my passport back that the GNB took when deporting me. I don’t know where to go from here, literally or figuratively and am quite honestly heartbroken at this point. We were guided by locals but as soon as they left the colectivos showed up. They were 10 to 15, masked and heavily armed

THREAD: If I make ONE point before I go to bed it is that this happened to me ONCE but it happens to Venezuelans every day - THEY are the real victims here and while they have so little they do everyhting to help others, like me.

I am staying in a hotel tonight because strangers helped me when I had no money and no nothing and today strangers stopped us in the street as we fled the colectivos to warn us of more gunfire and hid us in their shed. THAT is #Venezuela - not this regime!
