What do Punjab's protesting farmers really want? They essentially want to guilt-trip people like us, the urban consumers. How can we ignore the 'legitimate' demands of 'annadatas' who feed us? This is a group fattened on easy money that's blackmailing us. A thread
Why don't farmers in other states protest with the same frequency and as much media attention? Because, one, farmers in Bengal, Bihar, Maharashtra or Karnataka aren't rich and privileged enough to leave their holdings unattended, two, they are too far from Delhi.
