**Konark Sun Temple***

Temple was built by Narasimhadeva I of the Ganga dynasty in 13th century.

The temple is designed as a chariot consisting of 24 wheels.

Each wheel has a diameter of 9 feet, 9 inches, with 8 spokes.

Sundial has 8 major spokes that divide 24 hours into 8 equal parts, which means that the time between two major spokes is 3 hours.
