Texans, today marks the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act. Should we celebrate it down here? Two Texas examples help illustrate its fundamental importance.

1st. The mighty Trinity of north Texas. Don't let this beautiful old print deceive you... in the first half of the 20th c., the Trinity south of Dallas was so polluted from industrial & municipal waste, the TX Dept of Health referred to it as the "mythological river of death."
