A few takeaways from the Ukr-Rus war for India:

1. Always control the narrative: time and again, adversaries of the Indian state control the narrative far better than we do. In the age of social media the war stretches to the digital world. 2n

2. Embed yourself deeply in the global supply chain: the West didn't sanction Russia's energy sector because of the fear of how it would impact global supply chains. If we want to be strong as a nation, we must ensure that we are essential to the global economy.

Daily thread on Ukraine:

As mentioned in yesterday's thread, Russia is going to start to feel the heat. This is just the beginning.

So in addition to opening up recruitment for international fighters, Ukraine will also form penal battalions. Interesting move.

Daily thread on Ukraine:

Seems like the Russians have broken through in Kharkiv. The situation in the South is still apparently dire. Russians making rapid gains.

This has the potential to spike tensions considerably between NATO and Russia. Given the present situation in Ukr it feels weird writing even writing this. I fail to see how the situation doesn't end in conflict between NATO and Russia, qt this rate.

Getting spicy. Ukrainians claiming that Russian SF have placed explosive charges on key infrastructure in separatist occupied territories. Separatists have previously made announcements for women and children to evacuate. They appear to be preparing for an assault by Ukraine! Of course, this is to be taken with a linch of salt. This information warfare. I don't think anybody can independently verify facts in a potential war zone. But allegations and claims from both sides are flowing in.
