Reminder: The real threat to border communities comes from the Trump administration.
El Paso is where the administration ripped families apart, where children have died in federal custody, where asylum seekers have been denied their rights, and where militarization plagues local communities.
Thank you to @ACLU_BRC and to everyone who supported us today at the #MarchForTruth

Trump claims there were only a few hundred at the #MarchForTruth rally with Beto O'Rourke.

He's lying.

He's lying.

(Law enforcement estimates tend to be lower than actual attendance, in my experience.)

"...women seem dejected d/t all the mob talk. The purpose of the mob talk is to dampen enthusiasm" on the left. -- .@fred_guttenberg, a Parkland parent and tireless gun control activist.

CALLING ALL WOMEN: let's post photos of us protesting.

Let's see these "mobs". #WeAreTheMob
(PS: the above photo is not mine. I don't go out and physically protest d/t disability, but if I did, these are the signs I would hold.) #WeAreTheMob
TBC: the context of the "dejected" statement by @fred_guttenberg was that after Kavanaugh, the Republicans are banging the "Democrats are an angry mob" drum, the purpose of which seems to be to keep women from speaking out. Fuck that! Here's a shot of the #MarchForTruth, Seattle.

1/ Tonight I got to see Jim Comey speak at Town Hall, in conversation with David Remnick. He said one thing that proved to me yet again- despite what some may argue- that Russia influenced the election outcome. Here's the thing:
2/ In the book, which I have yet to read, he describes the existence of a classified document about Loretta Lynch that he did not think was accurate that would cause people to doubt her impartiality if it became known.
3/ He said that when the Russians hacked the DNC and the documents were exposed, it made him think that it was possible they could have that memo somehow, or that it might be exposed in a subsequent leak, rather than remaining classified and unknown for decades.

California. 6th largest economy in the world.
New York. Third largest economy in the U.S.
If Mueller is fired, taking to the streets is one thing.
And should happen.
But a general strike?
A hit to the wallet?
Politicians will take notice. /2…
This hand wringing, petition signing, retweeting is important because it raises awareness.
But at some point, like #MarchForOurLives and #StudentWalkout, we have to put our bodies where our mouths are. Where are tweets are.

(THREAD) Here's the plan if Donald Trump fires Robert Mueller:

1/ First, we mount a massive public response to show the President and, crucially, Congress that the American people will not sit idly by while the rule of law is under attack. Join us at
2/ We must demand that the special counsel's investigation and its work product are preserved, as @NormEisen and @FredWertheimer have argued.…
3/ We must demand the House immediately begin bipartisan hearings in the Judiciary Committee on abuse of power and obstruction of justice. These hearings could lead to impeachment proceedings- and many will argue at this time that they likely should.
