Super-impressed by Dr @hakim_yadi and Dr Lynne Corner of @NCLAgeing at the #NPHSummit. We’re always talking about what we can do to create new jobs, retain talent & attract investment.
It seems the next huge opportunity for the region will come from Innovative response to challenges brought about by #ageing.
What I love about this is the inclusivity of it all. Collaboration between academics, enterprise, businesses both large and small. It’s the engagement with citizens, the opportunity to listen to real people.
Too often the business world, especially in terms of ‘digital’, bypasses the actual real needs and struggles of people. So if we have the opportunity to hang our hat on something that’s going to radically improve lives then let’s bloody do it!
This is why this particular panel was my favourite of the #NPHSummit - we were given insight as to HOW we can achieve things. Too often we talk about what needs to be done. This wasn’t like that. I’m excited by the future of the North East.
