EAD Hess: Clearly China’s goal is to become the world’s dominant superpower & to do that they’re willing to steal info, intellectual property, PII. And while they’re doing those things, they’re also investing in U.S. companies, and all of this together creates risk. #FortuneTech
EAD Hess: Regarding malign foreign influence on social media, I hope it makes people question whether what they’re hearing, seeing, reading is real. We have seen instance after instance where malign actors, like Russia, are trying to use those platforms to divide us. #FortuneTech
EAD Hess: The FBI’s job is to collect the facts, independently, & to the best of our ability, to identify & uncover them. No matter where they lead or who likes them, we present them at the end of the day. It’s important for our folks to stay focused on the mission. #FortuneTech
